Pragmatic Coders Hosts Strategic Planning Workshop for Future Tech Leaders

At Pragmatic Coders, we know tech innovation takes more than coding—it needs smart strategy too. After building 80+ products, we’ve seen how sharing what we’ve learned helps the whole industry grow.
We’ve always followed true Agile principles: use tech to solve real problems, stay curious, stay involved. This workshop was one way to pass that mindset on.
On April 17, 2024, Pragmatic Coders’ Co-CEO Wiktor Żołnowski led a hands-on workshop on strategic planning for custom software development companies during the Cracow Learning Expedition. The session brought together management students to dive into real-world strategy development.
Workshop Highlights
Wiktor guided participants through a structured approach to planning, covering:
Market and competitor analysis
Defining customer and employee value propositions
Crafting purpose-driven company missions
Setting measurable KPIs and strategic goals
Team-Based Strategic Planning
Students formed teams to analyze firms like STX Next, 10Clouds, Clearcode, N-iX, and Future Processing. Each group built and pitched strategic frameworks based on a six-step process:
Define purpose
Assess market opportunities
Create customer value
Create internal (supplier/employee) value
Set strategic goals
Translate strategy into KPIs and tasks
Real-World Application
Each team presented a 5-minute pitch outlining their strategy, applying theory to practical scenarios. The exercise deepened their understanding of software industry dynamics.
The Cracow Learning Expedition explored tech strategy across startups, corporate innovation, and software firms. We’re proud to contribute and support future leaders through these initiatives.
